We are looking for a data-driven Paid Media Specialist tojoin our Johannesburg team. This role is responsible for the strategy,execution, optimisation, and reporting of paid digital campaigns acrossmultiple platforms.You will play a key role in driving user acquisition,campaign performance, and measurable growth across Mettlestate’s platform andbrand partnerships. This role requires someone who thrives on performancemetrics, understands digital audiences, and can turn data into actionableinsights.
Plan,execute, and manage paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta BusinessManager, and other digital platforms
Definecampaign objectives, target audiences, KPIs, and budget allocation
Continuously optimise campaigns to achieve performance targets (CPA, ROAS, CTR,CPL)
Adapt design style depending on project needs: from bold and gritty for esports to clean and modern for platform or UI work.
Use Google Analytics (GA4) to track user behaviour, attribution, and conversionperformance
Setup and manage tracking (pixels, events, conversion APIs)
Conduct A/B testing across creatives, copy, and landing pages
Compile weekly and monthly performance reports with clear insights and recommendations
Collaborate with creative, content, and sales teams to align campaign outputs
Manage budgets effectively to maximise ROI and prevent overspend
Support SEO initiatives through keyword insights and performance data
3–5 years’ hands-on experience in paid media or performance marketing
Proven experience managing campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
Strong understanding of campaign optimisation, conversion tracking, and attributionmodels
Experience working with GA4, reporting tools (Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar)
Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable insights
Experience managing multiple campaigns and budgets simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
LinkedIn Ads (B2B campaigns)
TikTok Ads (short-form video and youth audiences)
X(Twitter) Ads
YouTube and video-based campaign optimisation
Twitch or gaming-related platforms
Programmatic/display platforms (e.g. DV360)
Relevant qualification in Marketing, Digital Media, or related field
Google Ads and/or Meta certifications are advantageous
Demonstrable campaign results (case studies or performancedata preferred)
A performance-driven, analytical thinker
Someone who takes ownership of campaign results
Detail-oriented with strong execution skills
Proactive and always looking to optimise and improve
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Passion or strong interest in gaming, esports, or youth culture
